Privacy policy

This policy is provided by aaliSoft (SMC-Private) Limited, trading as aaliSoft. It covers aalisoft.com and the project enquiries we receive through it. We have tried to describe what actually happens rather than reserve every right we could. If anything here is unclear, ask us through the contact form.

The short version

• We use Cloudflare for site delivery and aggregate analytics, and a Google Ads tag to measure advertising and project enquiries.
• The contact form sends your enquiry to us through FormSubmit when you press Send enquiry.
• Our web fonts are served from our own server, so loading a page contacts no font provider.
• We do not sell personal data, and we never will.

What the site collects

Server and network logs. Our web server and Cloudflare, which sits in front of it, record ordinary request information: the IP address, the browser user agent, the page requested and the time. These logs exist to keep the site online and to investigate abuse or faults. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with anything else.

Aggregate analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are read and roughly where readers arrive from. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites. We see totals, not individuals.

Advertising measurement. The site loads a Google Ads tag. It records page visits and a conversion event after a successful project enquiry to help us understand which advertising leads to contact. Google may receive information such as your IP address, browser and device details, page URL and advertising identifiers, and may use cookies or browser storage under its own policies and your browser or Google account settings. The conversion event does not include the name, email address, phone number or message entered in the form.

Cloudflare may also set a necessary security cookie to manage automated abuse. We do not use heatmaps or session recordings. You can manage cookies through your browser and review advertising preferences through Google My Ad Center. What happens to a project enquiry

The contact form asks for your name and email address, and optionally a phone number, a company name, what you need built and a budget range. When you submit the form, FormSubmit processes the enquiry and delivers it to our email inbox.

The enquiry arrives as ordinary email and is stored by our email provider. We use what you tell us to reply, to scope the work and, if we go ahead, to run the project. We do not add you to a mailing list or sell your details.

We keep enquiry emails for as long as they are commercially useful, and records of work we were paid for for as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete an enquiry at any time.

Who else is involved

Service providers process data for specific jobs: Cloudflare serves and protects the site and provides aggregate analytics; Google provides advertising measurement; FormSubmit receives contact-form submissions and forwards them to us; our email provider stores the resulting messages; and our hosting provider runs the server. Personal data may be processed outside the country you live in, which is normal for an internet service.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how we use it. This includes information you send in an enquiry. Technical and advertising data may also be processed by the service providers described above.

To exercise any of these, write to us through the contact form. We will respond within 30 days, and normally within one business day. If you are in the UK or the EU and are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Work we do for clients

When we build or maintain software for a client, any personal data inside that system belongs to the client, who decides what is collected and why. We handle it only to do the work we were engaged for, under whatever agreement is in place. This policy covers aalisoft.com, not our clients' products.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly broaden what we collect and leave the date untouched.
