Scribevia
A private writing workspace for authors. Writers draft a manuscript, keep track of its world and revisions, and prepare it for publication, with a cloud synced library of series and books across web, Windows and macOS.

What was needed
The client needed a complete writing platform for authors, with manuscript management, a consistent story reference, revision history and beta reader collaboration. The same library had to be accessible on the web, Windows and macOS.

aaliSoft developed the connected writing workspace, from DOCX import, manuscript editing, planning and story references to beta reader access, writing history reports and publication preparation. Browser saves and cloud checkpoints connect the web experience with Windows and macOS applications.

Feedback in the manuscript
Reader feedback needed a clear relationship to the text it concerned. Beta reader collaboration sits within the manuscript workflow, alongside drafting and revision history.
What it does
Story Board
Structure the book visually, so the shape of the story is something you can see and rearrange rather than hold in your head.
Story Bible
A single source of truth for characters, places and rules, so the world stays consistent across a long series.
Writing history and reports
Typed, pasted, imported, revised and deleted text remain distinct, with daily activity, cloud checkpoints and signed PDF reports documenting the writing process.
Beta reader access
Invite private readers or review applications, control manuscript access, record NDAs and receive comments alongside the relevant scene.
Web, Windows and macOS
Use the same cloud library in the browser, the Windows app available through the Microsoft Store or direct installer, and the universal macOS app.
Privacy by default
Manuscripts are not used to train AI models, and unfinished work stays the writer's own. This is stated plainly rather than buried.

The delivered result
